My Three Fall Trend Picks

The Challenge
By now you've seen a blogger or two summarize the coming fall/winter trends.
Since they've done such a great job, I don't need to repeat them.  What I'd like to do instead is discuss what I'm looking forward to styling for fall!  So this is a personal Fall Trends list, here we go!

The Details
Number 1:  A Snakeskin print shirt like this one from Zara at $45.90:

Or this one at Saks Off Fifth for $29.99:

Number 2:  The color pink.  I don't know if it's from the blush pink trend started in the spring, but I'm really feeing a more saturated pink color for fall.

I'm thinking maybe this cardigan.  Currently on clearance at Cotton On for $14.98:

Something slightly more formal, oversized Mural Blazer from Nordstrom $75:

Or, maybe some sandals like this in a berry pink ♥ from J. Crew for $138:

These mules from Target for $22.99.

Number 2b:  Blush will still be a contender!  (See also top photo.)

CAbi Contessa Coat

Number 3:  Wide leg cropped jeans are a "must have."  I'm a big fan of cropped pants (although I hear they are becoming less favored).  Plus, I'm getting a little tired of skinny jeans, not that they're leaving my wardrobe anytime soon.  As an aside, I am having a bit of problem with the high waists (shown in the styles, below) that are everywhere as mid-rise work the best for me.

Like these from Madewell:

From Kohls:

The Takeaway
The beauty of style is, it's about the individual.  How about you?  What are you looking forward to styling this coming season?  (I am not an affiliate seller at the date of this posting.)

Stay Fierce, Kim

  1. Love these trends and see why you'd embrace them - they are you! I had a gorgeous snakeskin print silk blouse from WHBM I got rid of a few years ago - I should have kept it! I'm always all about the pink and I love the pieces you showcased. I am open to the idea of the wide leg crops but they have to fit just right or I look like a blob!
    Happy Monday friend!

    1. Thanks, Kellyann. What a heartbreak on the snakeskin print blouse. It doesn't seem like it's been "in" in ages, though. I know you're a pink girl! Ha ha on the wide leg crops. It seems like people either love 'em or hate 'em.

  2. Those snake skin print tops are beautiful. Like you, I’m so digging the cropped pants and am looking for a pair of cropped jeans. I always think I look stubby, but I still like the look so... LOL I was never a pink girl, but I’m loving the softer rose shades....

    1. Yes, I know you preferred more volume over skinnies!--if you have any questions, you can ask me. I tried on Madewell in the store, and have ordered a larger size (on its way), I also ordered a pair of Boden, which were too long in the crotch for me. I know we all have different shapes, but if you think I can be of help.

    1. Yes...you were one of the bloggers who did trend spotting as well. It's fun to have options and know what doesn't appeal to you.
