Looking Back at October

The Challenge
This is my didn't-have-much-to-do-this-week-and-ended-up-busy-and-tired post!
I thought it would be a good time to take a look at what's on my phone and what's in my head as October is now history.

The Details
This Halloween week, I wore my skull scarf (above) Monday through Wednesday in different iterations (see also, Alexander McQueen Skull Scarf Two Ways)...  If you want to see something scary, I finally made an appointment and got my hair colored!  I was going to take the photo in foils, but my phone was in my handbag--this is just coming out of foils... Went with the grands to a trunk or treat event.  I so want to copy the witches legs garland...  Looked for mid-range brown booties, but bought these olive colored Earth Nubuck perforated peep toes instead...  Received my first collaboration offer this week(!), look for it soon...  Got the house listed and "all decked out for fall" which consists of two fall wreaths...  Found these berry colored sueded pumps at Payless still wondering if I will get adequate use out of them...  Tried to take a coffee photo like Daenal T frequently posts on her Insta account, but my cup just looks squished...

The Takeaway
In spite of how well you or I think we've planned, sometimes we've gotta just roll with what life throws us!

  2. Those berry pumps are so fab. Such a pretty color. I’d totally wear them as a neutral.

You did a fab job with the coffee picture. I love when people join me, it feels like we’re all just taking time to enjoy a few minutes of peace.

    1. Thank you Daenel--yep, I get you on the berry/neutral thing. Maybe you should start your own coffee hashtag--coffee is like a hug for your insides, or soul!

  4. I have been longing for one of the Alexander McQueen skull scarves for years, but I've never found one in a color combination I was ready to pay the price for... Yours looks fabulous on you! (Love fall colors, but they don't love me back!)

PS: I think you can get lots of use out of the berry pumps, they're fab!

  6. Ha Ha! Nothing is scary to me than looking in the mirror at the hair dressers. What is about that? Is it the lighting? You would think this place, of all places would be the place you'd think you'd look the best, but nope! I always see dark circles under my eyes and oddly shaped head/face. Too funny. Maybe they shouldn't have mirrors. :) LOVE the outfit in your selfie picture. The color is fabulous.

    1. I know, right! Maybe it's the psychology of "gah, I look pretty bad, better get more hair, waxing, etc. done while I'm here!"
