Orange Cardigan Goes Boho

The Challenge
This is the rest of the story from my previous sponsored post, Three Tips for Accessorizing with Jewelry.
In it, you just saw the top and jewelry.  This is what the outfit looked like in its entirety before the jewelry photo shoot.  And the heat!   I figured it would be a good idea to share the details.

The Details
The cardigan was gifted to me by a close friend, as I believe I've told you before.  Most times when I pull it out to wear, I think about how "not her" this piece is.  As it so happened she and I went out to coffee this day and she made the comment that she didn't care for the Boho style on herself.  I had a chuckle, because, well, there I was with a peasant style top, fringed cardigan, lace up shoes, flared jeans...  Ha ha ha!   Anyway, I randomly found this shirt at Marshall's when I had some time to kill before going to my daughter's concert while down in Ft. Myers.  It has all of my preferred colors in it and it's rayon, which is a a bonus since it's cooler.  Plus, it was less than $20, which made me a little hesitant, since I thought it might just fall apart after the first washing (it didn't).  The jeans are my cropped flares from cabi, and shoes are Freebird.

The Takeaway
Embrace the Boho style.  Or not.  If "not," find a friend (or me!) and donate to their for-the-love-of-Boho wardrobe!  Also, it would be easy to replicate this look without the Boho influences.

    1. I know, it's so rare to get someone's castoffs, at least for me! Speaking of 2nd hand, there's a pretty awesome Goodwill in Oviedo! :O

  2. You gotta love friends like that. I just had a friend gift me a ton of things she was getting rid of. But I do think we can have fun with most styles...even if you don't think you love them at first....because I wasn't a huge boho girl, but I'm all about fringe especially with earrings...

  6. My daughters say they love visiting me because they know they’re going to leave with something. Even though my style is boho and theirs isn’t, they say=till take my stuff and make it their own. It’s spo interesting and fun to see what they do. That cardigan is fab, as is that top.

    1. Isn't it fun how our daughters can really make things their own. I enjoy giving things to them and seeing the transformation.
