Another New Handmade Necklace
Hopefully, you don't mind me adding my creations here. The above necklace is from the last post. A clasp has not been added, yet, as the dragonfly really does need to be removed first.
Nothing overly dramatic, here. I generally like fairly neutral colors because I don't like to draw attention to my feet. BUT, I would like to draw attention to these sandals! Isn't the treaded athleisure sole the cutest?! I had no business trying them on at Nordstrom Rack during no-spend April, but but but, it was right in the same plaza as another store I needed to visit. No, I did not get them--may have to revisit them, though.
Skirt Redo
Also from the last Pink Cardigan Orange Print Skirt post. I was on a mission to get this done as I wanted it to be a contender for an Easter outfit. The skirt was purchased m-o-n-t-h-s ago. It was worked on, then put down for all that time, from running out of patience dealing with the lining. See--everything isn't sunshine and rainbows with my do-overs!
Update on No Repeat April
All in all, I'm happy with how it's going. My main goal was to get closet and drawer orphans out more often and see what new combinations I could come up with. Not all combos are new, but most. A couple of notes on the below outfits: 1) You can see my new Lucky Brand girlfriend jeans are in high rotation in photos 1, 4 & 6; 2) I'm wearing different shoes in every shot. Shoes are the one wardrobe item I swear I need a refresher on. Although, the lace ones are the only ones that will get a lot of summer wear, the gladiator and burgundy ones are too high for day-to-day errands.
Update on No-Spend April
Alright, alright, I did it. The below utility vest from Target was purchased this week. It was paid for in cash, though, so nothing on the credit card. The jury is out on if I will keep this or not. Everyone and their mother has one of these in the blog-o-sphere. If I can't get enough style mileage out of it, back it goes. Stay tuned!
If you are observing Good Friday and Easter, blessings to you, my friend. Easter is my favorite holiday. We are attending services tonight and Sunday morning. DH made brunch reservations, as only one adult daughter is going to be with us. Believe it or not, I didn't buy one bit of Easter candy. Not even Cadbury mini eggs!
