The Challenge
Hey, all!  Did you see my previous post Thrift Store Try On & Tips?  If not, you may want to check it out before you continue with this post!  My challenge is finding and styling a thrift store skirt.

The Details
This is the skirt you saw in the last post.  Although I stated it is an XL, it's cut on the bias, so hangs quite well.  This outfit actually consists of three thrift store items:  Skirt, cardigan and sandals.  My wide belt and sandals coordinate nicely, and they are frequently added to give a bit of edge and finishing to my outfits, and this case is no different.   They go pretty well with my recent hair color, too.  (My hairdresser really seems to have cut my hair overly short this time!)

Several of my necklaces coordinated with this look.  I chose the horse head one, again, and added a bit of pop with turquoise earrings.

Still with the white-girl legs.  I decided to order an old-school folding lawn chair from Amazon, so I could sit out and read and get a little sun.

Bonus Outfit
The elastic was replaced in the "M/Plus" skirt, to which I added my recent-purchase J. Crew graphic tee (I spent about $15, although it's not marked down as much right now), booties and thrifted necklace.  I wouldn't normally add a long necklace over a graphic, but this seems to work

The Takeaway
If you get the thrifted item out of the store, washed and styled, you can get some inexpensive outfits.  You really need to keep the "bigger picture" in mind!  (Floral skirt $4.88, pink skirt $2.44.)
