Friday Favorites #21

Hi!  Welcome to Friday Favorites!   I'm out of town till next week.   Today we are heading to the Four Seasons--it's hard work, but somebody's got to do it!  A manicure, for sure, is on the schedule.  Here's what's been going on.

1.  The above scene is packing for this trip.  It was a little more challenging this time because I'm going from heat to heat and still want to look pulled together.  It's easier getting that look when it's not so hot.  I'll plan on doing a what-I-packed post when I get back.  You know how (I think) it's always a challenge to dress for air travel?  The above outfit is what I selected for this trip and it worked really well.   These are cropped linen pants from J. Jill last spring/summer.  They have a wide elastic waistband, so no belt for TSA and easy for restroom breaks.  The tank and cardigan were thrifted.  The bottom half ↓ -- ha!   Pants also featured at:  Printed Crops Three Ways.

2.  My new ring setting with the center stone.  I'm keeping it a pixelated mystery until the wedding band comes in.

3.  We don't have a HULU subscription (but my daughter informed me I could use her password).  In the meantime I purchased this for the plane trip and am finally reading:

4.  This quilt was a joint effort between my friend Susan and me.  I found the jelly roll fabrics at Tuesday Morning awhile back and thought they would go really well in the Grapevine apartment.  She belongs to a quilt group that meets once a week.  Since she needs projects to work on that are easy to transport and don't take a lot of concentration, she offered to sew the top together.  Afterward, I purchased the backing, batting and binding fabric and assembled the quilt.  It got mashed into the bottom of the suitcase for this trip.  (That's my youngest daughter, isn't she adorable?)

5.  My daughters and I looked up the Nordstrom store nearest our Grapevine, TX, apartment and visited yesterday.  I didn't purchase any of the NAS items, but did get this Caslon flutter hem woven tank and these fun Ugg sandals which have a thick lug sole (not shown online (similar)).

Thanks for joining my favorites this week!  It's been relaxing to get away from Tampa for awhile.  Have you been getting any extra relaxation in?  Have a great weekend!
