Friday [Top Five Summer] Favorites #27

The Challenge
Welcome to my 2nd Annual favorite spring/summer purchases.  It's the first week of September, so I thought I'd once again take a look back and share which have been the top favorites for wearability and make me feel like a "10" (on a 1-10 scale).  You can also check out 2018's Top Five Summer Favorites.

Top Splurge:

Top(s) -Johnny Was.  The first one (above) was the "gateway" purchase to lead me to other Johnny Was tops.  The original is my favorite.  Whenever I pull it on, I feel instantly chic.  The far left one hasn't been photographed at all, yet (hint, it coordinates perfectly with a favorite pair of pants, mentioned below).

I'm joining:

Top Color:

Dirty Peach~This color was a recurring theme.  I believe the thrifted Joan Rivers cardigan (center) was the first addition.  Followed by the Sundance Catalog jacket (left) and Free People top (right).  While they're all slightly different in intensity, they were a wardrobe repeat this summer.

Top Top:

American Eagle Boho top~This could also be classified as top impulse buy.  I went looking for a summer maxi skirt at American Eagle for our Key West trip and this top happened to be on clearance.  It's been a spring/summer staple as shown here with Tomgirl jeans.  It's also traveled with me and paired with white jeans and rust lantern pants for dinner dates.  It just keeps going!  If you look really closely, it also includes my Top Color!

Top Bottoms

This category is a close one.  My Lucky Brand camo boyfriend jeans are the winner.   It was a lot of fun pairing them with unexpected tops.  Runners up:  1) My Lucky brand cropped jeans (purchased during a blogger meetup with Chrissy from Granola and Grace after seeing how cute these were when she wore them)  2) cabi Tracker pants.  These got worn the least of the three, but I love the color and styling so much, I'm sure they'll get back into rotation for fall looks.  See tracker pants:  Style Imitating Art: Buttons and Style Imitating Art:  Farmer's Daughter.

Top Great Buy:

Belt~Patricia Nash (Ya'll know I want to say my Ugg slipper/sandals, don't you?  Since my last post was all about them, I'll move along.)  I think this is a great buy because, usually I buy a plain man's belt and wear it till it basically dies.  I've seen her belts online before, but didn't want to take a chance on sizing.  This spring I found one at Dillards and the large fit just fine.  The way sizing can run, there's no assurance that a large will always fit me.  The leopard one I wear is an old Lane Bryant one that I added extra holes to and cut length off with scissors.   (The size medium is currently marked down.)
