Free People Eucalyptus Cardigan | cabi patchwork slim boyfriend jeans | Sam Edelman booties

Hey!  How is your Wednesday so far?  We had some great weather Sunday and Monday, followed by some not-so-great weather yesterday.  It's strange having days that aren't sunny.  Fortunately, I had this review to share, so no standing out in the foggy, misty weather for photos.

Awhile ago, Patti from Not Dead Yet Style mentioned she rented clothing from nuuly.  When she mentioned it again, recently, I decided to do some investigating which included looking at reviews and un-boxings.  I decided to give it a try.  Darling Husband was onboard 😉.

The way it works:  It's run by URBN the parent company of Free People, Urban Outfitters and Anthropologie, so many, but not all, of the items are from those companies.  For a monthly fee, you are able to select six items.  They ship them to you in a reusable canvas bag.  nuuly will take care of cleaning and any repairs, as well.  If you would like to purchase any of the items, you may.  Most with discounts.

I haven't been enticed by other subscription companies, because I'm so particular on cut, color and fabric.  But, the fact that I could select everything and wear the pieces, was an offer I couldn't resist. These are my first month's picks:

Above:  Free People Eucalyptus Cardigan.  Size M.  This is oversized (like much of FP) with exposed seams and a dropped button closure.  I tried this on in the store and didn't want to spend the money on it, so the fact that it was a selection was great.  It comes in a few colors, only two were available with nuuly.  We'll see if this ends up being a "must keep."  It's discounted 48%.

The We the Free Indigo Sky button down was a fun choice.  I've already worn it to work with blue jeans and to church and out to dinner with white jeans.

The sleeves on this We the Free Rainbow Sweater are not something I would normally buy.  Size M.  I figured since it was no-risk, I'd have some fun.  This will get its own feature post.  It is warm and I bopped around the apartment with it when it was colder last week.

You saw this Lead the Way jacket, Size M, in my last Style Imitating Art post.  It was one of the things I was really excited about.  When I got it, it was a wrinkled up mess (yes, I "get" that it's supposed to be distressed) and I was disappointed.  I ironed the placket, collar and pocket flaps (yeah, hard to tell) and that helped.  It's shirt weight, not denim weight.

This was another top I was pretty excited about because it is so basic.  It was listed as a sweater, but is really more of a fine cotton knit.  The brand is The Good Jane, with which I was not familiar.  It was ordered in my regular size, Large, and while it's shown as oversized on the model, I would have preferred it a size smaller.  Are you able to see the scallops along the hem?  It's been worn once to work, so far.  It may get ordered again in medium, as I think it would make a good sweatshirt substitute.

Lastly (photo from October Purchases post), the Pilcro Tapestry Mid-Rise Boyfriend jeans.  WHY did I rent them after I already purchased them?  To see if I could buy them at a reduced price.  (I hadn't worn the original pair, yet.)  The answer to that is "Yes!" at a 39% discount!

The total value of everything I rented is an even $800!  I don't know if the novelty will wear off of the service after a couple of months, but for now, it's a lot of fun.  If you are interested in any of these items, a few of them are already marked down (as seen below), although sizing may be limited.
