Welcome to Friday Favorites!  Today I will be at Day Two of my sewing class.  Yesterday, we traced the pattern using tracing paper that I didn't know existed.  It can best be described as an extremely lightweight interfacing.  So much for learning something new right out of the box--where have you been all my life?!  What have I been using instead?  Newspaper!  I'll have more details next week.

First up, Outfit of the Week.  I think we've all been at that place where we put an outfit together and it falls a little flat.  This outfit, however, beat all expectations!  I thought I'd add an ivory/beige cardigan with this top, but my cabi Bishop cardigan's proportions weren't right and my Old Navy cardigan's sleeves were too snug for the long sleeved shirt.  Enter this blush one which I've not been wearing in awhile since it seemed like I wore it to death last spring/summer!  I love how everything came together and may do an entire post on it.

2) Well, well, well.  Notice the Free People babydoll top, above?  It was purchased on clearance a few weeks ago when I posted FP was having free shipping for a limited time.  When it came, it looked as shown on the right side, below:

Notice the pintucks--how they cross the bust line in a most unappealing way?  I took a few minutes and extended the stitching by a couple of inches, as shown on the left.  Can you say "perfect?"

3) Another fashion fix was done to the other Free People top I purchased on eBay a couple of weeks ago.  (Hmm, maybe I better rethink this whole Free People thing.)  What I didn't discern from the photos was the top is awfully short for my liking.  Add a few inches of coordinating fabric and it is infinitely more wearable.

4) Since I was so loving the color of the above top, I decided to make a coordinating necklace which was inspired by one I saw online.

5) Rounding out my "fashion fix" post is this last necklace that I made.  It has already appeared in my Refashioned Top with Camo post.   I bought the silver cross ages ago at a consignment store and put gold Rub 'n' Buff on it which didn't turn out that well.  I won't tell, if you won't!

Thanks so much for joining me, today!  I was really looking forward to sharing my fixes.  Sometimes they are fun and no big deal.  Other times, they're kind of a pain in the back-side!

My physical therapy turned a corner this week.  I had a different therapist, too, which I think helped a little, mostly because our communication styles meshed well.  She encouraged me not to limp and I have to talk to myself when I walk to remember!

Have a great weekend!  I'm looking forward to sharing my jacket from sewing class.  It's got a little surprise for the trim.  Hopefully, I'll like it in the end!
