Style Imitating Art: Inspiration~Arnolfini Portrait by Jan Van Eyck

Inspiration Artwork
Welcome to this week's inspiration!  Style Imitating Art is hosted every two weeks by Salazar~14 Shades of Grey, Daenel~Living Outside the Stacks and me.

This week's selection is Arnolfini Portrait by Jan Van Eyck.  Salazar recently 'watched a BBC mini-series called "A Stitch in Time' in which they recreate outfits from famous paintings (as in actually make the clothes, not just interpret them like we do with SIA), and this portrait is featured in one of the episodes."  Plus, with St. Patrick's Day approaching, she figured the green color would be appropriate.  Have fun with your interpretations!

The Curator
This week's curator is Salazar from 14 Shades of Grey.

What do you think you'll wear?  I'm so looking forward to your interpretations!
