Friday Favorites #75~New House(!) + Other Stuff

Thus says the LORD:  "Let not the wise man boast in his wisdom, let not the mighty man boast in his might, let not the rich man boast in his riches, but let him who boasts boast in this, that he understands and knows me, that I am the LORD who practices steadfast love, justice, and righteousness in the earth.  For in these things I delight, declaires the LORD."  Jeremiah 9:23-24

Hey, friends!  Welcome to Friday Favorites.  The "big" favorite is the last item, but hang around, anyway, since there are some interesting things going on around here this week!
1.  New Coffee Shop.  My daughters found this coffee shop that's about midway between our apartments.  My youngest daughter and I met up one day this week and I actually remembered to take a photo.  She had an iced latte with lavender (I think).  We both had an almond croissant.

Also, I found out, our nearby Starbucks has distanced inside seating again which I'm really happy about.  Now, that I'm able to, it will be nice to get out of the apartment and have my coffee over there.

2.  Fabric.  I looked at this Spoonflower Swearing fabric for weeks (if not months) before I went ahead and ordered it the other day.  A fat quarter is $11, which I think is a lot (i.e. $44/yd).  If you think I'm using it to make another face mask or two, the answer is "you betcha!"  I'm one of the most conservative people you'll ever meet, but even I have my limits, hahaha!

3.  Target Knox Rose Top.  Well, look at this.  I'd seen this top previously and wondered about the color.  Yesterday, I wore my tie dye pants into the store and what do ya know?  The match is insanely crazy!  And, relating to #4, below, it's the first time I went into Target since, probably December, and was able to walk around fairly easily.  Hallelujah!  I'm walking rather purposefully, not briskly.

4.  Second Knee Update.  Yes, second.  My surgery was scheduled this week for my 2nd knee replacement on the right knee for October 6.   Gosh, it's tough to think of going through it all over again, but I know it's the right choice as my right knee has been giving me problems for years and there's no cartilage left.  Some people get them both done at the same time--I didn't want to be that "gonzo."  Might as well get this wrapped up!

5.  New House!  If you saw my Instagram a couple of weeks ago, I mentioned we were going to go to an open house.  Steve happened to be Zillow surfing and found this house in a location we were interested in, with the lot size and square footage in our preferred range, and single story.  We are in no hurry to get out of the apartment as our lease runs till March and figured we'd save some money before we bought another house and that would give us time till something "showed up."  Well, the best laid plans...  This house "showed up" and we put an offer in on it the day after we closed on our Tampa home.  The closing date for this house is September 28.  That's eight days before my next surgery.  Right now we are thinking to stay in the apartment till the end of October.  Trust me when I say that the beginning recovery period will be better spent here--smaller space, hard floors, common hallway perfect for PT.  I'm sure we'll be really anxious to move, so this is Plan A at this point.

Thanks so much for joining me today!  I don't think we have any plans for this weekend, except the girls want to come over and enjoy the pool over here, while they still can!
