Friday Favorites #76~What I've Been Buying Lately

He went away again across the Jordan to the place where John had been baptizing at first, and there he remained.  And many came to him.  And they said, "John did no sign, but everything that John said about this man was true."  And many believed in him there.  John 10:40-42

Hey, friends, happy Friday!  What's happening in your neck of the woods?  Steve has been ironing out home ownership details.  In our marriage, he's the "Trees" guy and I'm the "Forest" one.  Which means he combs through lots of details that I wouldn't bother with.  In general, it makes for a good pairing.  😉

I've been on a bit of a buying binge, myself.  I feel like I go awhile without making too many purchases, then, all of a sudden, I seem to "cha ching" quite a bit at once.  Time for me to 'fess up and share what's been being coming my way.
1) Sugar Skull salad plates.  I've never been much in the way of decorating for Halloween, but I do love Dia De Los Muertos decor.  One of my girls actually had a Day of the Dead themed HS grad party.  (I wish I could get my hands on the photos to share a few with you!).  Anyway, a few years ago, I purchased a set of Williams Sonoma jungle-themed salad plates for my mother and they were beautifully done.  When I saw these were on sale over the Labor Day weekend, I snapped them up thinking they'd be fun for the girls and me to use year 'round for various snacking.  If you're also a sugar skull fan, they had several other plates, bowls, platter, etc. to choose from.

2) Vince Camuto Small-Faced Watches (Poshmark).  Remember my Wish List recently?  These came as a set of two, this one and a black with with rose gold hardware.  I like the light-colored band and plan to use this as part of stacking with bracelets.

3) Miz Mooz sandals.  Also, loosely from my Wish List.  Miz Mooz has a lot of great Boho/ Southwest styled footwear, which is on the pricer side.  I found these on clearance and decided to take a chance on them.  The jury is still out, however.  I ordered a wide width and I think my foot slides down and the back ankle strap is loose.  Hmm, will have to decide.

4) Lip ink & Mascara.  Lip ink because masks.  Ugh.  The colors were really picked over at Target, but I got one red, #118 Dancer, which is rather bright and one pink, #120 Artist, which I haven't tried, yet.

5) Lastly, this Free People Dress, which you saw in my recent post.  (The outfit with the hat was the clear favorite!)

Thanks for joining me, that's it for this week!  I've been looking for a local designer as we are going to update our 90s kitchen. I can't tell you how many times in the past I've said I want to buy a kitchen with a house around it!  Hahaha!  Anyway, pretty exciting!  It will be so fun to shop for house items again.
