About Style Imitating Art
Welcome to this edition of Style Imitating Art!

Style Imitating Art is hosted biweekly by Salazar~14 Shades of GreyDaenel~Living Outside the Stacks and me.  Style Imitating Art challenges us to create an outfit using art as inspiration.  In addition to colors, you may also want to look at textures, mood, style, genre.  There are no "wrong" outfits and you don't need to be literal.

The Curator
This week's curator is me.  The current art selection is Bouquet of Flowers by Odilen Redin.  For more info on this artist, check out WikiArt.  I selected it because I like the riot of fall colors.

My Look
I knew that I wanted to wear this bright top, then it was a matter of "feeling fall" with the colors of the cardigan.  While I'm pushing the envelope just a bit with the fuzzy warmth of the cardigan, it has been in the 50s℉ several mornings here.  By the way, I think this is the first time the sweater has been on the blog--it was found at Nordstrom Rack last winter.

I had every intention of adding blue jeans to the look because the bottom half of the painting is beautiful blues, but the cardigan seemed like it was going to be happier with the khakis for this outfit.  These khakis are an odd length and when I roll them up, I'm not all that happy with the look--on my "to do" list is add elastic to the hem, at least in the back, to make them like joggers.  This no-man's land length isn't the best.

By the way, if you follow Jodie, you know she's mentioned Sheec socks.  I ordered the ultra low cut (using her discount code) and this is the first time I've tried them in my booties.  They stayed put without a problem.
