Then you will understand righteousness and justice and equity, every good path; for wisdom will come into your heart, and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul Proverbs 2:10
Hey, friends! It's been so long since I've done a regular post, I'm out of practice! I wanted to eek a couple in, since my next knee surgery is looming on the horizon.
The Challenge
Last week it was warm and humid here. This week, it couldn't be more different. Monday I did errands in a light-ish jacket and was freezing. Yesterday, I broke out my winter coat. I did slip outside, even though it was cold, to take these photos. The indoor ones I tried weren't very good. On the up side, I got a new remote to take photos with my phone--my old one died. That makes it easier, but then the pictures are slightly grainy. Win some, lose some.
The Details
Anyway, grappling with what to wear when the weather turned cold, I decided to pull out my cropped, wide-leg jeans. They are warm enough if you wear socks and booties. Add to that this older Ralph Lauren PJ top, which is warm because it's a brushed cotton and I was good to go. The other great thing about this top is the leopard print is almost an accessory unto itself, as it has so much personality,
I'm one to grab a hat, too, which I added with my winter jacket and scarf (not shown).
The Takeaway
- You don't have to put away your cropped jeans with the weather gets cold. If you love them, wear socks and booties to cover your ankles.
- Wearing a PJ top would be a "no" for many of you. With this one, I changed out the black plastic buttons for brown wooden ones and put a couple of princess seams in the back so it was a little more fitted. No one has ever guessed this is a pajama top. (It was less than $20 on eBay.)
