And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.  Colossians 3:17

Hey friends!  Really and truly, when I got out of bed one day and saw my oversized pajama bottoms, I thought "this is a cute look" (with the full legs).  Pulling out my linen lantern pants was a no-brainer.  Then, I remembered quite some time ago, I was looking for info on wearing linen in the winter.  Lee from Style Bee did a fabulous post on that very subject.  Hop over to see her chic looks.

The current winter in TX is a nice in-between as it doesn't get bitter cold.   Mostly the temps have been in the 40℉s & 50℉s during the day.

The Challenge
Use PJ inspiration and linen in winter to make an outfit.

The Details
The key to wearing linen in winter can be summed up in:  1) Layering when necessary.  I wore socks to bridge the gap between the booties and shorter pant length.  2) Be mindful of the color.  This outfit probably would have looked out of place if the pants were a bright coral or turquoise.

The Free People jacket and shirt were found at Nordstrom Rack (pre-Covid).  The jacket is Large, the shirt is Medium.  I wanted to call attention to the Patricia Nash scarf--note, it contains neither green nor brown, yet combines well with the outfit and there's blue in the Target earrings.

Normally, I wouldn't combine wide pants and an oversized jacket, but this outfit seems to work well.

The Takeaway
.When you hear it said that inspiration can come from anywhere, it's true!
.Don't forget about your linen pieces during the winter if they have a cut and/or color that you love and want to utilize.
.Keep playing with proportions.
.Colors don't need to match if they go well tonally.
