Trying to Look Artsy

Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward.  You are serving the Lord Christ.  Colossians 3:23-24

Hey friends!  Remember when I found some bins that had been in storage?  (See:  Styling a Free People Flannel Shirt).   This long green jacket/ cardigan was in there, too.  It's from Soft Surroundings and I found it on eBay or consignment in a too-big size, so worked on cutting it down.  I wasn't crazy with how it was turning out, so put it away.

The Challenge
In as much as I'd love to wear this pretty bright green with white jeans, I tried it on after Monday's photo shoot and thought that pairing it with the wide-legged pants gave it an artsy look.

The Details
The brown linen pants were swapped out for the same style lantern pants in denim.  A couple of different shirt variations were tried and this is where the outfit ended up.  The brown shirt underneath is an XL so is quite big (I haven't gotten rid of it, because sometimes I like it for an extra layer).  The scarf had all the right colors, so completed the outfit.

The Verdict
While this outfit turned out "okay," it seems like too much fabric all the way around.  I think I'd even like it better of the brown top was fitted.  I do kind of like how I match the urn and the ferns, though!

What about you?  Would you wear an outfit with this much fabric?
