Hey, hey friends! I'm back with an actual fashion post!
Having to take photos, again, throws me back into a bit of a learning curve. Oof, which is the best place to shoot, how do I stand, and "yikes!" what is that facial expression!?
While this linen topper isn't exactly cut like a blazer, it falls into that camp (in my opinion) because it's not for extra warmth (jacket) as much as it is style. Isn't it fun how we can reboot a classic combo with some newer pieces and have it feel fresh all over again?
Let me fill you in on where this outfit began. Once upon a time at Whiskey Cake... Haha! A couple of weeks ago, we went out to brunch with the girls and they gave me this concert graphic tee as a birthday gift. They know their Mama don't they?

That would have been well and good by itself with, oh, say, white boyfriend jeans, etc. However, I had seen these cargo pants on Sundance Catalog's website and thought they were cute (they are lighter weight than regular denim). Reading the reviews, it was hard to tell what size might work the best, as they don't have any stretch to them. When I went into the store recently they had them on the floor.
They didn't have my size, but they had one size up. They fit me perfectly! Also, new to the mix, I found these earrings at Soft Surroundings this weekend (shoot, you'll have to scroll up to the first photo to see better).
