Blogger Meet Up with This Blonde's Shopping Bag

The Challenge
Finding other bloggers in your vicinity to meet up with can be daunting or next to impossible.  First you have to scope out a lot of other blogs in your niche.   Next, you have to find or figure out if
they're from your area, then reach out and see if they might be interested in getting together.  If you're really lucky and all of these things come together, then you can set up a date and time to meet!

The Details
As you can see, everything came together in the best of ways with Kellyann of This Blonde's Shopping Bag.  If you haven't been to her blog yet, take a minute right now, click on the link and take a look around!  She is so personable as she shares her fashion sense, shopping and beauty tips, recipes and her sweet family.  She and I are both Florida ladies who can relate to heat, humidity and not much in the way of season change.  We chose Lakeland as a rendezvous spot as it's roughly in the middle of our home bases.  Over an enjoyable lunch at Ford's Garage we gabbed it up in boisterous, animated conversation.  It was so fun to learn more about Kellyann and share experiences about our blogging journeys and bits and pieces of our life stories (yes, she is as nice in person as she is on her blog).  I was able to ask her a few things I was uncertain about because I am such a new fashion blogger.  Kellyann is so knowledgeable about so many bloggers and has so many good relationships, I came away very inspired!  I'd like to think I may have inspired Kellyann to bring out her tripod again {wink!}.  Yes, I unapologetically used mine with my camera's self-timer outside the restaurant.  I am so glad we were able to arrange this meet up.  We hope to do it again soon, and maybe include a shopping trip along with it.  If that doesn't sound like a plan, I don't know what does!

To wrap up, since this is a fashion blog, my outfit consists of a comfortable t-shirt from Zara, my white denim skirt which you've seen many times at this point, and my new-favorite Freebird shoes.

The Takeaway
The blogging world is by-and-large a generous, friendly community.  Reach out to another blogger in your area, or an area you may be visiting.  BE a blogger in which someone would want to reach out.  Plus, as many of you know well by now, even if you aren't able to meet in person, you can make good virtual friends!

In the spirit of the original Model T Roadster ("you can have any color you want, as long as it's black"), I tossed in a couple of B&W photos.

    1. ...well, if I haven't had any mishaps with my camera, you should be safe...I'm a "bull in a china shop" usually. I can't wait to get together, again!

  4. This looks like a match made in heaven! I love reading stories about bloggers meeting up because I want to meet a blogger or bloggers too! Lol But I do agree that finding someone to meet can be daunting. So glad you both had an opportunity to meet and from your pictures it also looks like it was a success! Beautiful outfits and that leopard blouse you are wearing is marvelous! One of the best prints that exist if you ask me! Happy Monday!
