How to Wear White for Fall

The Challenge
Well, whadayaknow?  For this fall post one fallen leaf has obliged by showing up in the photo--thanks Mr. Leaf for lending your ambiance!
What you can't see is the humidity--phew, it was steaming this day!  My earrings were even making me hot!

I was inspired to style this look after seeing variations (and wearing variations, myself) on other blogs/web pages.  Plus, I enjoy linking with the ladies at Style Imitating Art.  Today's inspiration is Jackson Pollock's Autumn Rhythm #30.  [As a reminder, I don't wear a true (optic) white.  My "whites" are gradient "dirty whites" to beiges.]

The Details

The pieces of this outfit are no strangers to the Fierce Fashion blog.  For this go 'round, I've styled my babydoll top and my distressed jeans in "whites," then added warm brown shoes, cardigan, clutch and accessories to give it a fall feel.  Shout out to the ladies who organize SIA for me being able to frequently use my leopard clutch with your art selections!

The Takeaway
Don't love true white?  Opt for softer versions.  If you've been into a paint store, ever, you'll know there are many, many variations of white.  Just by adding warm brown elements can take your outfit from summer to fall, no new purchases needed!

  1. Great advice Kim! Not wearing a true white just might make those who feel white after Labor Day is a no-no feel more comfortable and it looks great with the warm brown and leopard! Very fierce my friend, I love that baby doll top! Laughing at the leaf comment, we have to take the falling leaves where we can get them, right? The heat index today is going to make it feel like 100!
