The Challenge
Valentine Gifts in Pink & Red post. I was going to let it pass me by as I wasn't 100% sure I wanted "Lucky" printed across my chest, but then I saw it in person. The "Lucky" is actually embroidered! (It did say it in the item description, but I overlooked that fact!)
The outfit started on Sunday afternoon while my DH and youngest DD (that's my Disney girl who's home for a couple of nights!) were taking naps. I knew I needed to get busy and work up a blog post, but where to begin? I had no idea the direction I was going other than using the t-shirt and ended up having so much fun putting the pieces together.
The Details
Since the shirt is a peachy-pink, I pulled my new cabi Hutton pants which are a rich coral (found at the outlet in Allen, TX)--so far, so good. Then, the soft-colored booties seemed like a perfect choice. After that, I added the denim jacket, but felt it looked a little plain, so fished my older Talbot's scarf out of the closet. Added a little turquoise (earrings), gold (necklace) and blue-stoned (bracelet) jewelry and was delighted with the layered coral look.
The Takeaway
As I've said many a time, keep layering on like colors! I also took advantage of both the embroidery and the tip in my color wheel post to use blue to accent the coral. I'm feeling so lucky on how this springy outfit came together!
