Style Imitating Art Inspiration: Pocket

Inspiration Artwork
Welcome to this edition of Style Imitating Art.  Today we have an actual accessory item:  A pocket.  "In the 18th century, a woman's pocket was a separate accessory item, not a feature built into
any one particular skirt. Women carried their personal necessities in these pockets which were tied around the waist, including items like keys, thimbles, handkerchiefs, spectacles and coins."  (source)

Pocket, ca. 1784, American (Public Domain)

The Curator
This week's curator is Daenel from Living Outside the Stacks.  She selected it because of the beautiful flowers.  And, I quote, "Pockets are life."  LOL!

What do you think you'll wear?  I'm so looking forward to your interpretations!
