Welcome to this edition of Style Imitating Art!
Style Imitating Art is hosted biweekly by Daenel~Living Outside the Stacks, Salazar~14 Shades of Grey and me. Style Imitating Art challenges us to look to create an outfit using art as inspiration. In addition to colors, you may also want to look at textures, mood, style, genre. There are no "wrong" outfits, and you don't need to be literal.

My Look
The flaming look of the Star Catchers garment made me want to wear fringe! I had a couple of outfits in mind and this one won out. (Mainly, because it started raining when I was going to photograph the other outfit!) Since I wanted to emulate the fiery look, I kept to orange, yellow, and white.
The orange cardigan and yellow tank top are candidates for the #unwornforgottenandignored challenge Fonda is working on this month. I've decided these will be consigned. In the meantime, they are working out well for today's Style Imitating Art. The cardigan is Chico's and was gifted to me, the tank is from Kohl's last year. The jeans are Eileen Fisher (also from last year). My belt bag was last seen during my Key West trip. I wanted to include it because it adds more angles with both the way I'm wearing it and the weave, which reminds me of rays shining outward.
