Welcome to this edition of Style Imitating Art!
Style Imitating Art is hosted biweekly by Daenel~Living Outside the Stacks, Salazar~14 Shades of Grey and me. Style Imitating Art challenges us to look to create an outfit using art as inspiration. This Cordial-Medoc from Jourde is a brandy-based liqueur flavoured with fruits and herbs, and said to taste of orange and raspberry with a spicy complexity. Sadly, Cordial Medoc is no longer produced.
My Look
I could have gone a few ways with this poster, but ended up decided to go with the colors of the yellow dress of the woman and the golden grapes she is holding. While my pink top has been on the blog recently, I decided to reach for it again, mainly because it's sleeveless and it's been hot.
My Patricia Nash bag shows up quite a bit and I thought it went especially well with the splotches of colors. The necklace. If one was going to make a piece of jewelry specifically to go with the poster, I think this necklace would be it. [Looking at the photos, I think I would like this top better a front or partial tuck or cardigan. It looks a little too straight or something.]
