Hello!  Welcome to Friday Favorites!  This week I had a few more things going on than usual, which made me very happy!  First off, I'm doing physical therapy twice a week--not particularly fun, but it gets me on the road toward recovery.

1) For the Look of the Week I braved the cold to take this photo.  (Yikes, it was 49℉/9℃ with wind, making it feel like 42℉/5℃.  Darned nippy for this former FL girl!  Midwesterners, feel free to mock me!)  This cardigan has been hibernating in my closet.  The color is great, but it seems a tad big (it's a Chico's Size 3).  That's probably why I don't reach for it.   The picture doesn't show it very well, but the same color green is quite predominant in the scarf.  And, what?  Do you notice my flared jeans?  Keep reading to find out more about them!

2) Monday we had a girls' movie night!  My middle daughter (Jillian at right and above) works part time at a movie theatre that serves food and drinks.  They had a special showing of Pride & Prejudice (the 2005 version with Keira Knightly), which we love.  It was fun to see it on the big screen, still a tear-jerker after all this time.  I ordered breakfast tacos, which were really good, and sour patch kids to share (ha!) the girls ordered fries and cauliflower.  We had absolutely beautiful weather this day, too!

3)  Wednesday, I made another trip to see Jacklyn at Salon Boutique Academy for a haircut.  Last time, she did it in the classroom, this time we were in the front salon.  She is always very conscientious when she cuts hair.  I thought my hair would look more gray after the cut than it does.

4) I signed up for a sewing class.  Do I think I particularly need to sign up for a sewing class?  Not really.  I did it primarily to get out of the apartment and meet some women.  It takes place at the end of next week.  The class consists of constructing a jacket very similar to the one shown above.  As of this moment, I'm thinking of making a red linen-blend version.  I dragged my feet a little bit on signing up as I'm not sure I love the jacket pattern.  I'm hoping I can "make it my own" with styling.

5) Enough with the suspense from the top photo-lol!  The "deal" with the bootcut flare is I've had them for weeks and finally got around to hemming them.  Do you remember my hunt for bootcuts?  I ended up throwing in the towel on the other pairs I had found and purchased these Kut from the Kloth ones instead.  Four whole inches were hemmed up and I'm 5' 9"!  These jeans are mid rise and I never thought I'd say this, but I think I'm starting to prefer high rise.

That's it for now.  Have a fabulous weekend!  If you didn't see, next week is Style Imitating Art.  Below is the inspiration piece.  We'd love to have you join us!   Style Imitating Art Details.
