If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.  Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth.  Col. 3: 1-2

Hey, friends!  I've been so excited to feature this outfit and today's the day!

The Challenge
As you know, while being in the midst of lockdown, I've been sewing quite a bit.  You've seen this fabric (now sold out) and Blank Slate's Valetta top pattern earlier at Friday Favorites #55.  The colors and irregular print made it a fabulous find for me.

The Details
The top was shown completed in Friday Favorites #58 post.  It has tie sleeves and a handmade neckline tie and tassel.  I'm absolutely smitten with this top.  It's also denim friendly with the small sky-blue bits in the print.

This is the skirt that was mentioned as being ordered in Friday Favorites #59 on Wednesday (Also, with a sneak peek of me wearing the top!).  Wow, if you miss Friday Favorites posts, you miss a lot-hahaha!  It was advertised on my FB page and was "love at first sight!"  The skirt is from Lane Bryant (their sizes start at Size 12) and is already sold out.  Gosh, I'm glad I didn't hesitate!  I'm surprised that it fits well, too!

I fought the urge to wear booties (it was cool on photo day) as it is officially the start of the summer season.  These blush sandals are kind of washed out looking.  I didn't think, till looking at the photos, to wear my gladiator style sandals in roughly the same color as the belt.  It may be time to keep my eyes open for a pink/purple pair to coordinate better with the top, too!

The Options
Any number of colored cardigans could be added as a topper.  Somewhere, I have a pink pencil skirt that should coordinate with the top.  A longer version of the tiered skirt in a pink or purple crinkle fabric would be cute, too.  I'm betting this peasant top will be my go-to for all things denim this summer.  I'm also anticipating that the denim skirt will get worn with any and everything year-round, except for maybe the hottest days.
