Style Imitating Art is hosted bi-weekly be Salazar~14 Shades of Grey, Daenel~Living Outside the Stacks and me. Style Imitating Art challenges us to look to creating an outfit using art as an inspiration. In addition to colors, you may also want to look at textures, mood, genre and style. There are no "wrong" outfits and you don't need to be literal.

My Look
Oh, ya'll! You know how I frequently communicate that dressing for themes or challenges is so fun? This week is no different. Even though I'm more of an indoors-y person, I had to embrace the great outdoors for our inspiration. I pulled several clothing items and my Animal Kingdom hat was the clear starting point. I debated on a skirt, but joggers seamed the way to go if I was going to pretend hike.
Natural wood and clay beads were selected for the necklace along with animal print bracelets. I considered adding my Animal Kingdom backpack, but decided I'd really use this floral print handbag out in my "wild." I lapsed on my Fake Bake pre- and post- surgery, but think it's time I, at least, start doing my arms to look like I got a little sunshine while out exploring!
