One Year Texas Anniversary in Review

And his delight shall be in the fear of the LORD.  He shall not judge by what his eyes see, or decide disputes by what his ears hear, but with righteousness he shall judge the poor, and decide with equity for the meek of the earth; and he shall strike the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips he shall kill the wicked.  Righteousness shall be the belt of his waist, and faithfulness the belt of his loins.  Isaiah 11:3-5

Hey friends!  Wow, it's been an entire year already!  Because of my knee problems and Covid I've been thinking "poor me," I haven't done a darned bit of exploring around here.  When I was looking for photos to do a roundup, I was pleasantly surprised that things were better than my "poor me" attitude!  Let's take a look!

The above photo is from my first full regular post in Texas.  Although, I've been on my balcony for weeks, I try to rotate the areas that are simple to get to around the complex and have favorable backgrounds and lighting.

In an effort to get acclimated to the area, I had a short-lived job at Pier 1 starting in October till my knee went out in December.

While I was adjusting to apartment life, we celebrated our first holidays here.  We also got to spend lots of quality time going to brunches on many Sunday afternoons with the girls.  I'm so, so grateful they're in the area with us.

Right at the dawn of the Covid pandemic, I was able to take a sewing class.

While we were all in lockdown, I started sewing like crazy because I had lots of time on my hands and well...

I met some nice women, notably Renee whom I met online and Toni from the apartment complex (she moved away to take a job).  There is also the couples Bible study we attended till the virus hit, which was through a woman I met at BSF.

This spring, I celebrated a major birthday.  (It was supposed to be with the grandchildren, but, sigh.)

Jacklyn continued to cut my hair and I let it go gray.

At the end of summer, I had knee replacement surgery.  Not pleasant, but I did meet several nice staff people at the hospital--what a way to get socialization in.  Speaking of socialization, I really like the people at the new physical therapy place I'm going to, too.

That brings us to where we're at now.  We are closing on our new house next week and Steve and I are both very excited to have our own home, again.

So, looking back on everything, even though I didn't get to explore the state or even the area that much, I had quite an eventful year.

I also really appreciate every single visit to my blog and am so glad to have you along with me, too!!!
