Style Imitating Art (Roundup): Bouquet of Flowers by Odilen Redin

My son, if you receive my words and treasure up my commandments with you, making your ear attentive to wisdom and inclining your heart to understanding; yes, if you call out for insight and raise your voice for understanding; if you seek it like silver and search for it as for hidden treasures, then you will understand the fear of the LORD and find the knowledge of God.  Proverbs 2:1-5

Welcome to the Style Imitating Art Roundup! Style Imitating Art is hosted by me, Daenel~Living Outside the Stacks and Salazar~14 Shades of Grey. Every two weeks, we select a piece of art. After that, it is up to us (and you!) to make an outfit inspired by the artwork. Let's see what today's participants have selected!

About Style Imitating Art
In addition to colors, you may also want to look at textures, mood, style, genre or contrasts. There are no "wrong" outfits, and you don't need to be literal.

The Curator
This week's inspiration piece was curated by me. Fierce Fashion Blog is where I like to add some refinement to edgier looks. At least that's my goal!

The current artwork is Bouquet of Flowers by Odilen Redin.  For more info on this artist, check out WikiArt.  I selected it because I like the riot of fall colors.

The Co-Hosts
Daenel~Living Outside the Stacks

Daenel is emulating the painting with her green top representing the leaves and her blue jeans the vase.  Her accessories pick up the background color.

Salazar is an entire bouquet herself in pretty blue, green, gold and red flowers.  Ladies, she thrifted this dress for $2!

Jodie also thrifted her dress that contains so many of the artwork colors.  This look is adorable with her green sneakers and the rest of her colorful accessories.

Terri~Meadow Tree Style

Terri made this stunning dress to attend an event at a botanical garden.  The dress is made of two layers.  See her post for all of the details.  The classic shoes and handbag are perfect finishing touches.

Kezzie~KezzieAG
Kezzie captured her look with a floral top and a fun pop of red shoes, which she just "happened to be wearing."

Michelle is styling her new kimono for our theme.  I really like the front tie, high-low hem, ruffles--it's got a lot of style!  While it's still hot where she lives, I think the rich blue and orange colors captures the fall-feel artwork nicely.

Nancy thought of this scuba fabric skirt right away when she saw our inspiration art.  It's perfect with the dark floral print.  I like that she's paired it with a casual striped t-shirt, it's such a fun look.

My Look

I accented the gold and red of the artwork with a southwest print cardigan.  For more details, see my Fringed Cardigan and Khaki Pants post.

Thank you to all of our ðŸŒŸRock Star🌟 friends who joined us this week for Style Imitating Art.  We really appreciate your well-thought-out and styled interpretations and look forward to what you might come up with next time!
