And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.  So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith.  Gal. 6:9-10

Hey!  And, welcome!  What?  You don't observe National Tequila Day?  If you just missed it, there's no official enforcers or anything, celebrate it whenever you want!

The Challenge
Funny enough, my (now 27 yr. old) daughter's birthday lands on National Tequila Day, July 24.  We didn't think we'd see her till this coming weekend, but she called us to meet up for dinner along with my youngest and her boyfriend, before heading over to a friend's for a party later on.

The Details
We celebrated at Mi Cocina both this year and last year (different locations).  Oh, yeah, all of our drinks contained tequila!

When we got the call, I knew just what I was going to wear.  These previously-loved LOFT jeans were recently found on eBay.  One day, I decided I had to have a pair of white, distressed boyfriend jeans(!)--I cannot believe how lucky I got, since I don't have any experience with LOFT jeans.  If my top looks suspiciously familar, it's because it's the same Blank Slate Valetta pattern that I've made twice already.  Their version of "sleeveless" had bands at the armhole, which I thought were cute when I saw them online.  Not so much on me.

I ended up removing them and finishing the armhole with bias tape.  (The fabric was originally purchased without a plan, because I liked the colors and print so much.)

The hand dyed cardigan (shown below) was added, because of A/C.  While it doesn't match, it plays along nicely with the other blues in the top.  Pink driving mocs were a fun addition with the various pinks in the fabric.

The Options
The top could be worn with the yellow linen jacket from my last post.  My pink cardigan also goes well with it, as does this teal cardigan.  Blush or brown sandals would be an easy swap, too.  If I had a pair of pink jeans, that would be a fun look!

Have I inspired you to go out and celebrate National Tequila Day?  What do you think you'd wear?
